Paypal is 2.9% and 20p. per TX on paypal you would have to be turning over £50,000.00 per month in order to get the 1.4% rate,

users shouldnt be forced to use paypal just because ebay owns paypal,
Yes the fee's for Google Checkout are cheaper but it really has no use for eBay. You can't use Google Checkout on eBay for obvious reasons and it has less features included.

Google Checkout can only be used on websites. And that has it's problems because most shopping cart scripts have been modified so that a little faint Google Checkout image has to be placed in the shopping cart (which can easily be missed) and not in the checkout process.

Buyers on eBay also see as PayPal being safe, as eBay automatically offers free protection up to £150, so obviously the buyer would pay with PayPal and about the fee's, it's free if someone pays you from their PayPal balance or their Bank Account.
