The chinese firewall is very stong, while I was in Hong Kong sending emails and logging onto any site world wide was fine, go over the border into china and you get a very different response, any site that is not liked by the firewall will simply display an error message, emails are corrupted or censored (a couple of my freinds complained that I sent emails full if 'XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX' !!!

Same applies to TV, you will be watching news on CNN and all of a sudden you see a peaceful garden or an advert kick in it just where it shouldnt! looks wrong but common practice in china.

The chinese dont mind doing business with the west, they just dont trust the west.

White people are called gwaliu - which transaltes into 'White Devil' now thats hardly a welcoming thought, they also dont trust the Round Eyes which is everyone other than their own!

Maybe the chinese cant be blamed we did take advantage of them and their land during the opium wars and in ripping off Hong Kong.

But now look how things have changed 99 years after taking control of the New Terrortries we had to hand it back along with it Hong Kong which was never part of the deal but then who is going to defend an in-defensible island from the mother land??? certainly not us brits so we came back home!

The chinese are very long term thinkers, it took them 100 years to build the great wall of china, it took just 99 years to be handed on a silver platter the worlds premier port, financial hub, trading centre and world class destination which used to be marsh land and swamp!

Now they have the world hooked on chinese opium that is everything 'Made in China' just imagine china decided to stop feeding our addiction, there would not be a store in the world who's shelves would not be bare!

China is China and people need to stop thinking about imposing freedoms, democracy and our visions on what things should be like, it simply isnt going to happen, anyone that has visitied china will know china does what china wants and you either put up with it or pack your bags and leave.
