Default The Ebay stranglehold :(

Hi all,
I have been selling on ebay for quite a while now (Mostly womens undies).
With the change to the feedback system regarding leaving Neg FB for buyers,I was initially against the change, but have found that I had no cause for alarm as I have had very few NPB`s and those that I have had have not done anything stupid like leave me a Neg (which sellers will know that even a NPB can leave you a neg without you being able to do a thing about it.A silly little loophole that for some strange reason ebay have not closed.Perhaps ebay gain money for those sellers too scared to put in a payment dispute for fear of a neg?Or am I being a bit too suspicious
Anyway,as I said I am ok (but not entirely happy) with the FB changes.I have managed to keep my 100% positive and decent DSR`s.Initially I had increased sales just after the new system which lasted a few weeks.Sales have now seriously plunged over the last couple of weeks.I know that the holidays etc have an effect on some of the buying, but having looked about on ebay it seems like its nearly an empty room.(Is anyone else getting the same impression?)Again I know that a lot of sellers have left and moved to ebid etc,but it just seems so gloomy on ebay.
I have had an email today about listings selling certain "luxury goods" will be subject to restrictions (which I thought they were doing to some extent anyway.Due to the French judgement against them?).I decided to head over to the discussion boards on ebay (The boards I tend not to put my own opinion to as there seems to be a lot of "experts" there who simply want to check all your items for sale and point out your faults just because you may not have agreed with their opinion etc.Whilst hiding behind a separate user ID with zero feedback so you can`t check their faults out
I read on the boards about ebays plans regarding word spamming in your listing to direct traffic to your ebay shop. They are banning using phrases such as "visit my shop for this item in another colour" etc?Am I reading it correctly?
I use links and "item in other sizes etc" in my listings to direct traffic to my ebay shop, otherwise I wouldn`t last too long using auction syle only.Without this,it would be far too expensive for the listings as the "unsold" far outweighs the "sold".
So Ebay want to reinvent themselves as a amazon style site and get rid of small sellers/unique item sellers
Is there anyone here selling clothing on e-bid and getting any decent results?I am just lookint at a way forward.
Any help or comments regarding this most appreciated.
Warmest wishes,
Emma..x
P.S.Their new search system sucks
