Default Beyond the Canton Fair

Before the meeting with a Switzerland client at Canton Fair, I spared some time visiting the Guangzhou--one of the largest, vibrant cities in China, who also has a long history as an international trade center and boasts restaurants and cultural offerings from around the world.

Shangxia jiu
Pedestrian Street
Almost every Chinese city has one pedestrian street, but none has the crowds of
Guangzhou's. Nestled in the old part of town, the Shangxia jiu Pedestrian Street is a good place for people-watching, but not for those who can't handle noise and bustle. It is a hodgepodge of two-to-four story buildings mostly in the Treaty Port Style. While there're a few restaurants, teahouses, and open-air food stalls hawking freshly cooked local specialties, most of the nearly 250 shops lining the 800-meter walk offer the usual selection of casual wear, sporting goods, handbags, and shoes. Prices here are generally lower than any other streets in Guangzhou. Another shining point is there're lots of copper made status recording the old stories in Guangzhou.

Yuehe Flowers, Birds & Fish World of Guangzhou
Located at Fangcun Liwan district, Yuehe World of Flowers, Birds,& Fish is a well-known large specialized marketplace and tourist attraction with over 1,300 shops dealing in the wholesale, retail and exchanging of aquatic pets, horticulture, bonsai, emulational flowers, classical furniture of rosewood, wood and root carvings, pottery and porcelain, calligraphic works and paintings, ornamental stone, collects and artworks.

International Gifts & Toys center of
Guangzhou
Onelink
InternationalPlaza called itself as the international WholesaleCenter for gifts and toys. An expo opens 365 days a year with over 1,000 shops with factory price & newest products. Not far from it, there's another wholesale center named as the largest in Southern Asia for stationery, arts & crafts sales.

I also found there're streets specialized on jewelries, hard wares, auto parts, packing, barbers’ shop etc. wholesale.

You have many choices in GZ—a shopping & wholesale paradise.
