Default Website Advertising

Hello people, im close to finishin my online store and would like to know the best and cheapest ways to market the site once finished.

I know abit about SEO etc but thats not what im looking for here. The website will have a huge array of articles so im sure that will help traffic wise.

My questions are, are there any good directorys worth submitting too e.g business directorys etc.
Is there any free places online that offer advertising.

What ways do others currently market their website.

Obviously i will be using offline methods to advertise but its more the online that im needing help with.

Anyhelps appreciated

Is it a retail store you are going to be marketing?

What niche is it in? (rough industry background..)

I would rather not give the niche away at this time.

But it is a retail store.

Search for authoritative sites in your niche and see what advertising opportunities are available with them.

PPC campaign

Ebay traffic promotion

etc etc

yeah i think pay per click is the way forward, you get more control over costs and you can see what keywords are working over others.

ive just started myself so am still learning the basics, good fun though im enjoying it :-)

PM me, I've just purchased some very expensive software that, to cut a long story short.. Analyses other sites similar to what yours are selling, and gives you keywords, meta descriptions and tips on how to get in the top 10 listings on search engines.

It then has a search engine submitter, along with a list of thousands of search engines you can manually submit to.

PM me if your interested, I can do you a deal on a full search engine optimisation package .

Let me know

There are lots out there tbh but still one of the best is SEOElite (that's a post I made on OAT about it).

There are other softwares out there that have stepped up the mark a little but I still optimise using SEOElite and have done for a long time, it can throw some strange ones out but in all it is invaluable.

As for automated SE submission, I recommend avoiding as you end up with similar anchor text etc all appearing at the same time and this appears like link spamming in the eyes of Google (the primary one you should be interested in). It wont necessary hurt you but there is a school of thought that the algo has been updated to take these subs into account. Sure manual ( which LS software also throws out) takes longer it is the recommended route to true organic SE development.

Some of the SEO sites on the net also offer similar services for free...
