Why go through all the crap of loading a script when they have an auto install sitting waiting.

I do use the ftp type install with CubeCart, because it's a new version. And I've done so many I can do them just about as quickly. Still have to set up MySql by hand, where the fantastico auto-installs do all of it. CHMOD's and all.

I agree with most of the points made. The bit I'd alter is to the effect of "This is one idea. A web search will probably throw up a few others". Which it will. Without knowing what hosting arrangements the OP has, which may well have another, still very good way, to achieve the same end, you're implying these should/must be changed. Maybe I've got that wrong, but that's the way it came across. That is the reason I would never consider there is but one, obvious, answer to a software challenge.

Quick question, just looking at ur price plans Pete for the hosting, do u think 500mb is enough to host a classifieds site or shud i go for the 2000mb? Obviously most of the site will just be wording and pictures and i would make sure old ads get deleted reguarly, etc.

I'd go with the 500 to start. You can always expand, rather than be paying for a lot of unused space. The text is nothing, but the images will begin to add up after some time. The install itself will barely register.

I hate turning down money, but I'd honestly suggest the 500 to start, it's just a click or tow on my part to expand it if needed.
