Thanks for the reply. Personally I think many consumer would prefer to buy razor blades online, for a few reasons. First of all online retailers have discounts to retail prices, and also they provide a simple easy way to purchase.
There is little choice when purchasing razor blades, most consumers purchase the same item each time, with little though in the buying process. Hence an online retailer meets their needs quiet well. This is how I feel as a consumer and its why I have bought razors online. I would be very interested to know what others think?
Would you purchase razor blades online?

I don't think that far ahead. They are often a "need it this instant" kind of thing for me.
I walk by them each week in the discount club and if they're on the list I chuck them in the cart. Sort of like paper towels, Kleenex, shampoo and such.
But, othere than clothes and business supplies like toner, and a few niche books from amazon, no one in my family is an Internet shopper. Get something over $ 100 or so and might do some net shopping, but then usually go buy it locally.
Just my way of thinking, maybe, but the net is for convience as much as saving money. When there is a consumable product we use day to day, week to week and there is a reasonably priced store we go to weekly, why spend a hlf hour looking on the net to save $ 5 and then pay shipping for a net savings of zero?
Again, this my dodgy old 67 year old self. I spend many hours a day on a keyboard, but I never even think of buying that sort of thing online.

Google Adsense CAN be configured to display ads utilising the referral system (if any exist) otherwise you can simply add the rival suppliers to your blocked ads list...

Thanks, Mike. That's useful to know. Just thinking of using Adsense on a few sites, for the first time.

You most likely won't be getting a $1 per click though. And adsense on an ecommerce site looks tacky.

Must say I agree with that, David. I think I said so somewhere else around here. No, I run a number of sites of different types on behalf of clients, as well as a couple of my own. Just thinking of ways the owners could get direct revenues without distracting too much from the aims of the sites.

Would I lie?
Well, would I lie if there were profit potential?
Yeah, 67. Started my first business, an Esso service station in 1962. What I say here comes from a lot of been there - done that.

Thanks for the point you make Pete, I think there probably a lot who would feel the same as you do.
At the same point I feel there is a lot of people who would want a simple hassel free way to purchase these items. Probably the same people who get there groceries delivered.
Your also right about the cost. To make it cost effective you would need to purchase a few packs of razors. So mostly the customer base will be people searching for an easy way to purchase. You could buy in bulk for one years worth or so. Or also you could set up an automatic re-stock method that automatically charges your card for 2 packs each month or so. So its all about ease of purchase.

Yeah, that auto deal sounds like it would work. Why didn't I think of that?
Maybe even throw in a can of shaving cream every so often and some aftershave.
And get the wife's birthday and anniversary and send off something then, too. Seriously, not joking about it. Schedule all the stuff a guy has to keep up with and handle all of it. There's another Aussie here talking about a sports themed site. Maybe hook up and have a total guys kind of place.
Hang out, BS in the forum. Get on the list, have your stuff auto shipped. Shame you need a prescription for Viagra.
You guys have got the World of Outlaws over there about now. Nothing like dirt racing.
