Firstly, it would be better if you'd bought a domain name (eg www.chiselhill.co.uk) A subdomain isn't professional and can lead to the loss of sales.

You also need to redesign the look of your site. Sticking with the standard banner at the top doesn't look very good. Try and get someone to design you a logo.

I think that with those vstore.ca sites you're pretty much stuck with what you see. I could be wrong, but that's how it used to be. They were a big deal a couple of years ago, but folks just don't like those sub-domain freebie shops.

chiselhill, you can get your very own cart from me and others here that you can do a lot more with and spend 5 bucks a month. You'll get that back with one sale. People like to buy when they feel like the seller has an investment in their business.

I have to agree with Saajan, get your own domain. I would also think about a customisation of your shop. In the end, you are competing with a huge amount of other shops, and customers tend you judge by looks aswell as interface. The whole experience has to be good, starting from the frontpage of your shop until the orders are placed and processed.

Free shops always have their limitations, and depending on your aim and long term goal it might be worth it to see if it makes sense to invest a bit into a shop solution. OS Commerce is always a good start as it is a very capable and highly customisable solution, which in actually free (except for the hosting).
