I'm setting up an e-commerce website at the moment and have been informed that Terms and Conditions are a legal requirement. Will I need to pay someone to produce the T&C's for me or can this simply be done by myself or a free online resource?

Cheers.

Do like everyone else - find some you like and copy them, editing where needed, of course.

I personally believe there was ever only one T&C ever written entirely from scratch and all the rest are copies.

I believe there are some you can buy, and probably some for free, but I've never seen a post about someone complaining about their T&C being copied. Whole sites or pages, yeah, but not just a T&C.

Is there anything in particular that I should be aware of that should always be included in T&C's?

I know the authorities are making a big thing for not putting the correct length of time for returning a unwanted items. For an example people where writing four week return instead of 30 days. (fines up to 1400euros) Ebay pick up on this and sent emails out to all businesses on how to do this correctly. Its called the AGB here in Germany. If you selling electronics it may be more complicated so be very careful.

I will setting up my website very soon thanks to Pete and I will be going to IHK here in Germany to get some help.

os commerce website, click on contributions and search terms and conditions, there is a pre-written coding to add to your site, it automatically adds your websites etc into it.
