Last year I set up a website with Microsoft Office Live. www.adc-internet-deals.co.uk The problem is it's very limited in what you can do with it and I now like to set up a more professional website with a proper built in shopping cart, instead of having to go through paypal all the time.

I already have a merchant account set up with www.securehosting.com and ideally I would like the shopping cart to integrate with this.

Has anyone got any experience of moving a domain name from Microsoft Office Live? Also if i can get the domain name moved successfully,what would be the best host and shopping cart to use?

you need to go to the site where you registered the domain. For example 123-reg, godaddy etc. etc. and change the nameservers to those provided with your new hosting. This is generally ns1.mydomain.com, ns2.mydomain.com.

Cubecart is mentioned alot on here and to be fair it is fairly newbie friendly. I use it myself but I am getting fairly sick with it. It has an easy to understand admin panel and skins or templates are somewhat relatively cheap.

The main carts likely to be mentioned on here are supported by securehosting so you shouldn't have any problems with that.

Cheers for the info. I've just had a root and managed to find a certificate of registration. The company is Nominet, so i'll give them a call tomorrow.
