There are many sites you can use. Personally when trying out my website money making ventures, I used GoDaddy.com and they offered a great service, with helpful customer support which I could call from the UK for 1p p/min. 123-reg is also good I've heard, but my personal choice would be GoDaddy!

When you get right down to it, probably every one that has been mentioned will do what you need done.

It's not rocket science. You pay for the domain and that's pretty much it. You will go back one time to set up your name servers and that IS it. Only if you change hosts will you eer have to again change the name servers. And other than paying your domain bill from time to time, you'll never bother with them.

Just nothing to it. Set it and forget it.

The problems come buying through your hosting company, or through one of these "we do it all for you" placw with the online site builders that make you do everything through them and not your own control panel. Those are the folks who want to give you hard time should you want to leave.

Take "any of the above" and buy your domain and be done with it, really not a big deal. GoDaddy is by far the largest. But they will try and sell you their grandmother.

uge, you should become a registered seller before offering your services here.

Not a big deal, there are a few of us in the hosting business. as well as some designers. Some do both. But we all pay to play, and you should do the same.

Depends on how serious you are and how fussy you are when it comes to the .com ....If you just want to get your site online with a short name to see how it goes and get a few reviews I sujest getting a free domain names.. (Basically the same as a paid for domain name but with a few adds.) Then get a free web host. Ie .tk so your website for example will be at www.freewebhosting.com/mywebsite..then the free host basically lets you create your own link to that but with a shorter name.. ie www.mywebsite.tk. Sorry I couldn't explain it better been a while since Ive been in the technical side of websites. And of course if you want .com and no adds then ignore this :P
