I believe the question was meant for you to answer, what kind of shop??

IE a physical shop or from the sound of your question an online store??

If the latter it will depend on what you want to achieve and your level of ability.

If you have a basic ability then there are companies that provide a full service right down to a forum member on here that will provide the bear bones for a few pounds a month if you can do the majority of the work.

There are a few 'Instant Sites' available from the likes of EKM Powershop, 1and1, Anatic and 123-reg. They all charge per month but can be a good starting point.

If you go down this route I'd recommend EKM.

I can help you out with a shop of your own. There are many TWF members who have online shops with me. When you are ready shoot me a PM and we can discuss what your needs are.

You can also click the bottom link in my signature or go here - http://www.affordablehoster.com/carts.html

Hi there,

Thank you very much for that. I was looking into it and I was only looking at the "instant site". I guess due to my limited know how I didn't look at hosting my own shop. But thanks.

If I decide to go down that route, I will def be in contact.

Be leery of many of the instant shops.

The software is theirs and when you outgrow them and want something of your own, or they go out of business, or go up on the rent or anything else comes along that causes you to want to leave, you are often stuck with nothing.

I would say that 75% of my "non-newbie" clients have had bad experinces with them. No names, just in general. Some can't even get their data back, let alone the site itself.

Many will not even turn loose your domain name. The forums are full of such sad stories.

If you are going to be in business for yourself, be independent. Whether it is me or someone else, go with a hosting company and your own store. That way you can move anywhere at anytime and take the whole store with you.
