Sorry guys, I know I've been down this road before, but I have to ask.

Colour Palette:
I want to change the colour of the title bars on my website from the 'bluey' colour to pink. (site link at bottom of posting).
I downloaded the 'Natty Ware' colour finder, as mentioned on this forum and when I hovered the cursor over the colour, the HTML number was #3DB7B6.

When trying to change the colour in 'stylesheet.css', this number wasn't there.
But when I checked an HTML number for a similar colour on a 'colour palette', the number was completely different. Something like 00 or 33 or 66 or 99ffff or similar.

Numbers similar to this show in the 'stylesheet.css', but not quite the same.

Are these palette numbers standard, or do they differ in different systems, if at all?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

richard.

Images are pixelated in order to give a "smooth" effect. Compression also causes what looks to the eye to be 1 colour, to actually be loads of different shades. This shouldn't happen if the colour is in the CSS but it is possible. Easiest way, pick a colour like lime green and change 1 colour at a time until you find the 1 that you want to change. Also use this exercise to note which colours affect which parts of your site.

Thank you reihtec for taking the time to answer my query.

I will indeed try what you've advised me to do.

But I'm still puzzled as to why two very similar colours have HTML numbers that are vastly different from each other.
My site pages did have pink and beige body background colours, in which I traced the HTML numbers and changed them both to the colour I wanted and that was white. But I shall try and do what you suggested.
