[Poppy]

I've tried everything I can think of, but I'm just making things worse, not better.

I'm trying to put a nice header on this site. I'm using the Soapbox theme and have ftped the new image as kubrickheader. It's there, but it's sitting behind a grey box with my original text in. For the life of me I can't work out where that box with text is coming from and therefore how to delete it.

Can anyone help please?

Some themes have a changable header based on a couple of parameters. You will need to amend the header.php file within your theme directory to reference your image instead of the original changable image.

that link should be http://www.hellensmanor.co.uk I think! Poppy was that keyboard rage, hitting so many keys at once!
Also check that the pic is going into the right table or cell it seems like it's not? Not having customised a Wordpress site before I am not 100% sure.

Thanks stuart. I realised the typo, corrected it, then made a complete pigs ear of the site. It's back to "normal" now - ie the way it was looking before I tried to follow Loup's advise!!!

Have now had lunch, recovered from bout of keyboard rage and will try editing the function sheet again - with a bit more caution.

I like the visuals, might look into wordpress for any future blogs I have heard thats its way better then google blogger

I much prefer WordPress. Google's Blogger is handy for getting indexed very, very quickly though.
