Hello

I have recently been scanning the forums for info on google adwords and ppc to get traffic to websites. But all i have found is little bits of info i already know.

Lets great straight to the point..........Although i have returning customers, i never seem to get to many new customers. I get about 120 unique visitors a day, and when i have been talking to people who are doing similar things to me, they are getting 300-400 unique visitors

Where am i going wrong.......I have adverts on wholesale.uk.com and wholesalepages.co.co.uk

I am very very unexperienced when using google adwords.....I tried it for a few days and i got NO results, just a big bill to google

Any help on advertising would be really really appreciated!

Try to leave your link on as much websites as you can, such as forums you visit, in your email signature and be sure to target the correct customers!!
Also, try to make your website a bit more attractive and professional!! Just for info, apparently people decide in less than 1 sec if they like the website or not....so make sure you work on your homepage design!! For me, only by looking at your Flash Intro with this music, I'm already gone!!

I used PPC through pricerunner.co.uk it was good for traffic and targetted traffic at that but the conversion rate was very poor at 35pence per click !!

You should try listing in as many directories as you can as at present you only have 2 back links and they are coming from here via msn !!! then look at PPC

Hey Matt - I agree with what elludovico said. As a webmaster, my advice to you would be to think about scrapping the flash intro. It causes issues with search spiders and also can annoy potential customers. I think the first thing you want a customer to see is your products and not the flash into.

Also for good SEO (search engine optimization), you should put a little more into into your page titles. Currently you have "Welcome to ipod supplier". You should increase that to "Welcome to ipod supplier - <list of products in here>". Search engine spiders love that. You should also increase your metatags and also increase you meta name description to say more about your business. Again this helps with good search engine indexing.

Also - I know it can be expensive, but I am a firm believer in offline advertising as well. Maybe look a placing a few cheap classifieds in some local media or even a few flyers. You may be surprised at the level of traffic it can generate.

I think the rest of your site looks really good though

Also shout up for any specifics, the above advice is good I would however remove the Welcome to Ipod Supplier as a title and place a more descriptive keyword targetted phrase first then the hypen then welcome....

Early phrase keywords have weighting relevence...
