having trouble getting my new logo to appear in the Arwenblue skin of cubecart v3.

I have uploaded the image to:
/public_html/skins/ArwenBlue/styleImages

The image is called default.gif

I have made sure the code in the stylesheet layout file is looking for the name default.gif
('../styleImages/default.gif')

the old logo was named the same default.gif so I just overwrote it with the new image but when I go to my site the old logo is missing and nothing new is in it's place. It is just blank.

Any ideas?

I also want to remove the whole of the welcome text, when I do it in the back office and click save it just rewrites it all up again. I want the whole space for a large banner.

Can I remove this text by deleting the code in the layout or the .tpl file or something?

Sorted the logo, needed to resize it and also change the header size.

I was about to tell you it has to do with the size, when I see you figured it out on your own.

Now, I'll tell you how to handle the welcome message, but I'll have to kill you after I do.

But, seeing as how you are a good guy, maybe I won't tell you to go to Homepage on the admin menu to edit the home page.

Pete I have tried that mate, I delete all the text and the heading but when I click on 'update homepage' the whole lot just appears again.

I think it's the "title" of that page.

And now I will have to kill you.
