one stock inventory - cubecart/ebay/amazon?
Im looking for a stock inventory system that combines our website (cubecart), eBay and Amazon stock levels so basically if a product sells from our website for example the stock levels on ebay and amazon alter automatically.
Am i asking for too much?

There may be such a product out there, but you will have to get a new cart, i would say. You would need a cart designed with that in mind out of the gate. There may be some specialized developer who has such a products, but it will not be cheap and may not be as good as you hope it is.
Good luck!

Re: one stock inventory - cubecart/ebay/amazon?
You are asking for too much. Nothing is currently out for something like this and besides, I think if there was anything, they wouldn't do it for cubecart, but more for osCommerce.
Personally I don't think anything like this will be done, even if it isn't impossible, the implications and complexity of it won't be worthwhile to whoever creates it, unless you have thousands of pounds to get a company to make it (£50,000 - £500,000).
Just got to stick to the old excel sheets for now, but maybe someone could create a excel sheet what merges and updates stock inventory :s I don't know
Thanks, Darren

Re: one stock inventory - cubecart/ebay/amazon?
I think there are such programs. But they are not the typical shopping carts we talk about here. There are a lot of Point-of-Sale packages now that also have web sales included. These are basically designed for B&M stores and are inventory-centric, with the cash register and often accounting included, but foremost inventory management, purchase orders, etc. Then a plugin for ebay, amazon, etc can be added.
You definitely have to take off your blinders and get away from the typical free or "under $300" shopping cart mindset here on TWF.
I was selling a POS system in the 90's that would put the goods on the net, including images. But it was POS first and net second. That's where you'll find such stuff. And more in the $1000 range, I would guess.

Not sure it will work with CubeCart though, but I'd be interested to know. There's a set-up cost + £300 p/m fee I believe.

Re: one stock inventory - cubecart/ebay/amazon?
This may be the solution actually, however, I would expect them to charge a lot more to fit it within your website. You never know though, they might provide something else for you what is much better.
This is designed for mid-sized businesses however, who have a fairly big turnover and a big inventory, almost touching upon a large-sized business.
Thanks, Darren
