building my own ecommerce shop
Hi Forum,
I am in need of a little expert advice...Think of me as dummy that the dummy books write about...you know " a dummies guide too..." lol
Anyways, Im in the process of building my own ecommerce shop and I am currently using a all - in - one company that supplies you with everything you need, execpt a decent shop template.
I have noticed online that you can buy and even get some decent full ecommerce shop templates for free.
My question is how do you upload these + I am open to offers lol please those who are able to do this please message me with a price.
Kind regards
Craig

Hiya,
It really depends how much experience you have in web design etc and how in depth do you want your shop to be....?
You can use quite a few free ecommerce software packages and set these up yourself. Drop me a line and will give you a step by step guide to uploaded and checking your template....

As to my experience...you could write it on the back of a stamp and have room for more lol
Im using a software package at the moment, the domain name and the shop is up but like i said the design is terrible...they do offer a way to upload a template but wont it need to be altered and move around to fit?

Re: building my own ecommerce shop
Are you looking just for a free template or are you wanting to pay a designer?
If yopu want a pro look then I would sugest getting a designer in. Leaves you with the time to do what you do best and run your business.
Good luck

It's all about the cost Craig to be honest, I know the look and feel of the site will make or break the shop but I do have to factor in the amount of £ I have to spend on it...ideally I would love a huge site with flash etc...but at the moment its not realistic for me to do so, I have however seen some very impressive "buy it no" type shop templates that have caught me eye and are a more cost effective than having to employe a webdesigner in.

Re: building my own ecommerce shop
Problem is, you could have the best products and prices in the world but if you cant get the hits on the site it will all be in vain.
I do understand what your saying about costs etc. though.
