I had a bad experience with a wholesaler in china, I was daft enough to believe they were selling genuine ipods. Turned out they wern't and I lost £200. But you live n learn.

hi all,

I'm about to take my company to Gold status on alibaba.com and just wanted to offer a tip when dealing with a new company.

When doing the very first order it is best to setup payment by L/C or D/P. This way you are protected by your bank. If the seller does not send the items, he will never receive payment. It may cost a few dollars more and your goods will take a little while longer to receive by this method, but I think it's the best way to start and build confidence with your new seller. Any reputable seller, especially GOLD status sellers on alibaba, will accept L/C or D/P the first few times with a new client.

Hope this tip helps.

Beware of "fly by night" operation in China, most scammer even has the golden memebership in the Alibaba or other trade wesites, they did't verify their info.

There's large amounts of corporate identity theft on those B2B websites. The Scammers are stealing real company names from the China and Hong Kong government database of companies.

Hi. Ive just been scammed big time by www.best4buyer.com ,.They are based in fuzhou and the lady i was in contact with - miss linda - seemed very legit and very friendly, that was until she got my money then all of a sudden she disappeared and so did her website. Feel free to add them to your fraud list. All i wanted to do was make a little extra money for my family, how can some people be so heartless?!!
