Mate, who do u blame? buying wholesale laptops from clothing manufacturers? check the goods profile before jumping in, also fuijian is no place for electronics, if they selling electronics I guarantee you they are scammers, besides no point wasting time buying high value branded stuff from abroad... The prices for branded stuff is pretty much same +/- 1-5 %. so the saving dont make it worth while going through the hassle.... Good money in unbranded stuff but needs some good marketing strategies. for example you can buy fully loaded mobile phones from £50-£60 the equivalent of which in a branded set would cost you around £120-£130 I know this as I'm always buying unbranded stuff from there.

incommunicado, you have not got stuff you can not sell, at least I very much doubt it. You have stuff you can not sell for what you paid for them. Your loss is $1,750 less the amount you can actually get back. Your gain is one heck of a good lesson about doing your homework. I take on board that supplier is not someone to do business with, but there is a place, a way and a tone to tell us in.

Delboycorp, are these unbrandeds genuine unbranded/unknown brand rather than copies? If so, is full tech spec available? Phones only or can you get laptops? If laptops, would that include tablets? I may be interested.

This is a bit OT, so please PM or start a new thread to say what you can do.

Mike

only do genuine stuff here .........unable to give details becoz not a 'registered seller' ... but do your research and i'm sure u will come across many manufactures offering unbranded mobile phones. At times it requires a little more than just browsing the net.

another user, thanks for that buddy! Lesson learnt the hard way. Just needed to be more careful from now on. One thing is for sure..before i buy anything from the far east, i will make sure i carry out full checks on the company. However, is there anything one can do when we get burnt by these guys? I just hate the idea they can just get away with it. Its not right and its certainly not fair!

Replying to two posts here at once. With such a small brain to handle it??

Thanks, DELBOYCORP. Just finding out they're out there is helpful. Tells me the time spent searching is likely to be well spent. It was more the laptops, tablet style in particular, I'm interested in. Should be worth looking, at least.

incommunicado, the problems we all have in getting these sub-species of humnaity hammered, as they really should be, make the whole process not worthwhile. If your interest is in making money trading, I'd respectfully suggest you just take the lessons on board, try to help in warning others if you can, please, but otherwise just concentrate on doing good business.

Let's face it, it's hard enough trying to bring cheats and crooks to book in your own country. The costs, efforts and repercussions involved often lead those who manage it to wish they hadn't bothered. For most, it's a waste of time because the crooks simply don't get caught, let alone convicted. Now, think of trying that across different jurisdictions around the world and weigh up your chances of success. Some authorities are trying, but the overall national and international systems are making it a hard job. They don't seem to be getting very far.

You may, occasionally if you're very lucky, come across something which is hard evidence for a conviction and the perpetrator may hang around long enough to get caught. But hey, how often do you find rocking horse droppings on the playroom floor?
