Default CROFTMEX - Help! I've been a victim of a fraud!

Hi,

i'm writing this because i need help!! i'm currently being victim of fraud. I sent money to a British company named CROFTMEX 15 days ago, and until now the items were not shipped, i'm keeping him on hold, because i told him that i'm going to send 20000€ more for a new order, this is why he keeps talking to me until now. I'm trying to gain time until i understand what to do.
I called the Manchester Police, and asked them for help, but they say they cant do nothing because i'm Portuguese!!! - can you believe this?!?!?

Any help from you would be very appreciated!!!

thank you
ribeiro

That address on the website is not far from where I live. If you'd like, I could pop in and do some inquiries for you?

Registered company registered last year.
http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/b0...20/compdetails

Name & Registered Office:
CROFTMEX LIMITED
THE WORKS BUSINESS CENTRE
5 UNION STREET
MANCHESTER
M12 4JD
Company No. 06603908

However there's no listing of that business name on Royal Mail.

The Works Business Center is a company that owns the whole building (They let these out I presume) Their contact number is Telephone: +44 (0) 161 277 7800.

I've just spoken to them and unfortunately the company has never been at the address, the owners of the building have notified Manchester Police and Companies House of the fraud.

I'm afraid its a scam.

As above double post.

How did you pay? I've spoken to companies house and they have no information, not surprising as it only sounds like its coming to light its a scam.

You can try http://www.ukecc.net/

08456 04 05 03 or email ecc@tsi.org.uk

Or the Portuguese site http://www.consumidor.pt/

They offer support and advice on consumer rights across EU borders.

Did you not check this out before you sent the money?
I just went to the site - googled the postcode - used streetview to get the office name - went to the website and got the phone number.
It took me 2 minutes to get this info.

Even a whois takes 2 secs?

Crazyness!
