Default Re: compubitz.co.uk

I am absolutely gutted reading this! I searched and searched for any info on this company about 2weeks ago and couldn't find anything and now I see this!

After speaking to "Scott" many times via email he eventually persuaded me that he was genuine and he even offered to let me pay only half the money then and the other half once the goods were recieved. I even thought what a good deal I was getting! I can't believe how stupid I have been! I am just thankful I only gave him half and not the full amount as it seems after nearly 2 weeks and a load of excuses I am not going to be getting my playstations :-(
I thought there was still a chance they were still going to turn up till I saw this!

How much was he selling the playstations for? And were they PS3s?

10 x PS3 60Gb Premium editions for £750. Looking back now I should have known even from the price that it was a scam, if it sounds too good to be true....

He advertises Ipods, Laptops etc too.

Check the website: www.compubitz.co.uk

£75 for a PS3.
Always look at the prices. If he's selling PS3's for £75 why do you never see them being sold for £100 at Game or eBay.
Can't stress enough how important it is to use common sense and research. At least you've both found this forum.

I know the price was cheap, which raised alarm bells, but I did my research. I checked the addresses from the wesbite, I spoke to him for 30 minutes to check his credentials, there was no previous remarks online regarding any illegitimate behaviour... I was convinced.

Can anyone confirm any other alias's that this person has used other than Scott? What really grates me is that the website is still up, and he's still conning people..

John, why are you so upbeat? The guys conning us out of thousands of pounds.. I just hope for his sake I don't find out where he lives..
Hallo sir, same thing happened, he is claiming his account was closed, but as far as I know it was stopped, I just got a letter from the bank with the cheq in the post.

I am upbeat really coz I believe in karma and what goes around comes around. And I am a happy go lucky kind of a guy.

But rest assured I will do all thats in my power to let people know his a con and to get my money back!
best of luck m8s in the same boat lol

Made me feel all warm and good inside.
how lolly makes me warm just thinking about what will happen to "Scott"

From doing some digging i've found that this scammer Scott Canarn has used the following bogus company names in the past:

Scocan Wholesale
Pentium Traders

He's been scamming for at least 4 years that I can see - have the Police not got the intelligence/resources to find this guy and stop him? He must have made millions.
