Problem is I've sent this guy £1750 of my money, I saved for 6 months to get this amount and I can't afford to lose it. He says he is sending me the money through online bank transfer but a telegraphic transfer can only be done in branch - he is lying. I REALLY can't afford to lose that money. Is there any way I can get it back?

If you saved for 6 months for the money, then why why why did you go with this bloke (£75 for PS3 lolz)?

Because it seemed like a good deal and he did real well to convince me too. I'm not the greatest at this wholesale thing and I didn't even know there was advice places if you were unsure either - newbie at this. So I was hoping to make something back and buy an engagement ring for my girl

Sorry to hear that Emperor. Best thing you can do is learn from this and move on.
Maybe give your 'girl' a daisy chain? Or a gummy ring. It's the thought that counts after all.

Haha I can always try but she deserves a diamond - Sucks, its going to take me another 6 months to get even close to another engagement ring. I want his address so I can find him myself!

I know what bank he is with and I know his bank details... maybe if I call them I can get something?

Its always a shame when this kind of thing happens. But not knowing the wholesale/business world is no excuse, a scam is a scam and is the same everywhere. IF ITS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, THEN IT IS!

Yeah ring the bank. There are a lot of things to do being as he is in UK. If he was in China, then you'd just be boned, plain and simple, and you'd never see your money again.
