Go to the bank, block the transaction and report them!
I think you can get your money back.
You made the transfer through your bank so i think your bank should be able to reverse the process.
Just talk to your financial representative

you actually got something wether most of the order was broke or not you are very lucky! I have heard of people not getting anything after paying £1000+ not what you want to hear but learn your lesson take the loss and move on!

I am curious though does it actually play games or simply power on??

If the bank transfer was to a UK bank account, then yes it's possible for the bank to reverse the transaction but when sending bank transfers to China, it is very difficult and nearly impossible to recover your money.

You can request a recall of the transfer through your bank, however all the bank can do is send a letter to the recipients bank asking if they will agree to the funds being recalled. Now if they are scammers which by the looks of things they are you aint going to see youre money again!

Simple lesson here, you cannot buy branded electronics from China & research your chosen market before you decide to make any transactions as 99% of the time if you had followed these simple rules you wouldnt have had this problem.

The only reason I brought was because they was quite cheap so I thought I could afford to take a chance and the communication was very professional. I was sent letters/emails in full English, no mistakes or translator used quoting the goods were geniuine Sony PAL UK PS3 consoles.

The goods arrived, they was not authentic consoles and only one of them worked on my television. I contacted the supplier and he said there is nothing he can do. Is there anyway I can take this matter further?

He is based in China and I do not have the protection of paypal as I paid via bank transfer.

Does anybody know what I should do or any remedies open to me?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Regards Adam

Lesson learned mate, and you have had some good advice from the guys from the forum for future reference.
Don't forget to name the supplier so others don't get caught.

Keep going and don't be put off as there's reliable sources on this forum that can help you build a good business up.

All the best

Good luck,

Sorry to hear that your friend got scammed, but yes, ordering ANY branded products from china will almost definitely be fake.

Don't rely on paypal quite so much though as it is safest through ebay, outside that as long as they have time to transfer the money out of their paypal account, which will be done before you recieve (or not in some cases), then there is NOTHING that you or anybody else can do.

Best thing to do is research the market thoroughly, including any potential suppliers and where products can (and especially can't) be sourced, then MANY people will not lose their money for either a fake or nothing at all. It is an expensive lesson but one that many have learned before your friend and many that will learn afterwards, research IS key.

Could you please post here or PM me with all pictures of the products as well as the full address, phone and website of the supplier?

I will see what we can do for you...chances are little though...

Take care
