The real story is that Robert started selling on Ebay years ago, when the market wasn't as saturated with sellers. His business grew and now he has buying power - so sure, he can start up new accounts and business lines - you'd be sitting pretty too if you could purchase $200K of one product at a time.

I agree, I wouldnt be suprised if he gets alot of suppliers approaching him on a daily basis. Now wouldnt that be a dream. But like they say the first Million is the hardest.

He has been there since 2000 and has had a 6 year head start over the likes of me, I joined eBay in Jan 2005 and began selling in around late 2005, early 2006.
But hats of to him, wish I could be making that much $$$, also his products look cheap and the sort of items you could pick up from charity shops etc... at very very low costs.

Im not sure what postage rates are in the states but I wouldnt be suprised if he manages to squeeze a dollar or two our of his shipping cost aswell. 200+ auctions a day would definatley add up.

I think the guy is an inspiration to eBay. Too many people think you can sell an item on eBay and make a fortune, its all about the pennies and volume in my opinion. Its a lot more work if you're doing it solo, but hard work pays, i don't believe in 'get rich quick' schemes.

I'm normally quick to point out how old a thread is, however I still think the new comments are still valid.
Apart from the comment about the MOTM
