i use domaintools.com for my all my whois info, and only use dnsstuff.com for dns stuff.

I've lot a little exe file on my desktop that I just pop in the domain and it gives me the info, Don't even remember where I got it. whois.exe is the name. enter the domain name and click an eyeglasses icon and there it is.

Hi, i tried typing in dropshipoilpaintings.com into one of the suggested domian lookups, i used domaintools.com, but i don't really understand the information being displayed.

If anyone could breifly explain what to look for in the information and how you know if the company is legit , i would appreciate it.

I use www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp alot which is quite good.

I have just used it and have to agree with you gives a lot of info that others don't seem to

Just an FYI.

WHOIS information can easily be faked and is not a reliable way to verify a company identify.

I'm not going to explain how it can be faked, but it doesnt need a rocket scientist to work that out.
