You guys konw that not many peaple in china are good at english,it isn't necessary for them to take this risk because they have more chance to make the money.for the simple scammer,I think you can identify them immediately. For the big business scammer,It seldom happend and not for the dripshipment goods.I suggest you must have a visit to the company for a mass order.
Yes, for big orders, an on-site auditing and QC inspection is a must in China. Also do not forget to sign a formal contract in China before payment!

Great information, many thanks. Still a problem for us small guys, just starting out, who cannot visit the suppliers in China. Is it correct that Chinese suppliers cannot supply branded goods eg Ipods, game consoles etc.
Regards
Scottie

MOD EDIT - url removed, violation of signature rule!

If you want to contact local officials by yourself, please check your suppliers at AIC of every city. Say, if your supplier is from Shenzhen, then please contact Shenzhen AIC: www.szaic.gov.cn for verification. Shenzhen AIC (Administration for Industry &Commerce) is the only government organ responsible for the registration of any legal company in Shenzhen city, China.

Any question is welcome...

Default Help Buying in China

Hi,
I am a 20 year old English student currently studying at Sun Yat-Sen University in Guangzhou, China. I am studying Business Management with Chinese (Mandarin) at the University of Manchester in England. However as part of my degree I spend one year in China learning Mandarin more intensively. As a result my Chinese proficiency has improved greatly since arriving and I am now at a conversational level and improving all the time.
In England I used to frequently use Alibaba to find suppliers of goods in China to sell online. However, I often found that when the goods arrived they either did not match the promised quality standards, or they did not send me the correct quantity. There are many users on Alibaba based in China who claim to have a company, but infact do not and just take money from orders and never send the goods. Since arriving in Guangzhou I have exported many products to the UK, Europe and the US and found it much easier, as I am now able to buy products more cheaply as well as ensure the quality standards. I am therefore now in a position where I can help other foreign business people source good, reliable, cheap suppliers in Guangzhou to make the whole process a lot easier.
Guangzhou is hugely important in Chinese exports as it is right on the south cost of China, and goods here are both cheap and good quality. If you are interested in buying from China I am able to help you source suppliers as I have a good knowledge of the area, I speak English as well as conversational level Chinese, and I have a good understanding of Chinese business practices and culture. Through using my services you can minimise the risk of falling for many of the scams online, aswell as ensure you pay a fair price, and find a reliable supplier. I will also happily arrange transportation either by container or air freight to your home country or wherever you require the goods to be delivered to.
If you would be interested in employing me to help you, you could either meet me in China and we can go to see suppliers, etc together, or alternatively if this is not possible I will happily arrange everything for you and we can keep in regular contact through the use of email and Skype.
I am a very reliable worker and although I am still young, I have actually been using the internet to export from China since the age of 15, and have much experience in trading. I feel that my services could be very valuable to people looking to reduce costs by buying from China, as to many foreigners it can be a rather daunting place, but the opportunities for business here are incredible. Please contact me if you are interested and we can take it from there.
Many Thanks and Best Regards
Kristian James
