Default Good books to read

A friend of mine recently told me he read some of the trump books and they not only greatly motivated him, but sparked up some fresh ideas for him. I would like anyone to list books or maybe even articles that they have read, or have heard are great reads. Looking for motivational, wholesale specific, business, etc. Hoping some good reads can inspire not only myself, but other forum members as well. Thank you and looking forward to replys.

Some books that I enjoyed are:
  • Influence - Robert Cialdini. A classic book on sales and marketing.
  • Rich Dad, Poor Dad - Robert Kiyosaki. Teaches some basic financial concepts, but I found its motivational aspects more powerful.
  • Inventory Accuracy; People, Processes, & Technology - David Piasecki. A little dry at times, but a good source for understanding best-practises for modern, large-scale warehouses so you can apply them to your business.

Richard Branson's Autobiography is very good. I've also heard Duncan Bannatyne's is good too. Biographies are always fairly good for some motivation if you thrive on stuff like that.

Anthony's put his finger on it with the phrase if you like things like that. What yo will get most out of depends on where you want to go.

Kiyosaki is excellent if you want to establish a self perpetuating, very high standard of living. For organisational aspirations, i.e. to build a big business employing lots of people so have an emphasis on personal power rather than wealth, take a look at Michael E Gerber's The E Myth Revisited. For self motivation, you could open some of the tried and tested stuff like Think and Grow Rich, but a health warning: much of the motivational stuff is done by very obviously religious people - Christian religious, specifically.

You could fill libraries with the stuff. If I ever have to choose the best sales motivational book I ever read, if you can stand the southern USA redneck drawl which, believe it or not, even comes out in his writing, it's got to be Tom Hopkins' The Official Guide to Success.
