im not sure if this is in the right place if not could you move it thank you.
okay i found a website www.xe.com where you can do all the currency exchange you have to they're very relible from my experinces. hope this helps anyone out. good luck

Yes, I use them regularly to work out the price of things in £ when they are only shown in $

I go to a bank in the country of origin for the over the counter exchange rate

Number one problem with currency exchange? Paypal. They put their commission on the rate, and you end up paying over the odds. Best bet is to do bank transfer with a dedicated currency trader regulated by the FSA. You will find that over a certain amount, your fees are zero for the transfer. I think these guys offer this service : http://www.torfx.com/

you tend to get a better than over the counter rate when you transfer.... and I transfer pounds rather than the local currencies so the UK bank does not use their rate... this is obviously from a UK perspective.
