For a new trader with limited resources, especially, knocking brokers as a breed is a pointless exercise. The manufacturers won't supply the quantities you need. Brokers are a first step into direct sourcing and/or importing.
For an aspiring broker, taking note of the principles you have outlined can keep their business going as the clients grow and prove extremely lucrative over time. The history of the Industrial Revolution and the growth of capitalism in the Western World is full of such examples.
So thanks for the article, David, as valid now as when you wrote it. And probably for a few generations to come.
