Hi there,
Do you know how much the full cost would be including import duty & taxes for 5 of the phones to the UK? Also do these work ok in the UK? I'm assuming you just need a UK network SIM card? (My phone knowledge is quite slim but I am quite interested in making a purchase of I Phones)

Regards,

Meeko.

Hi, maybe Anthony or one of the other mods can help me out here. I have never shipped anything to the UK so I have no idea what duty or taxes cost. Anyone help me out here?

Meeko, check with HMRC. If you give them a call, you'll find they will be able to give you the most accurate answer.

But, with that said, theres so many threads on here relating to VAT and import duties, you could learn a lot by taking some time to read through them.

yeah, but to be honest the buyer should be researching the import duty cost etc. This is the buyers responsibility to be honest! the seller just sells the product!

Maybe this should be put somewhere prominent for 'duty questions'

The 'Taric database' shows all duty rates.
