Hi I called in there a week or so ago.Had to meet a friend on the first level. How many clothes shops are on that level alone?Everything looked very crammed and tight.Your in a good spot though, close to pratanum and the amari.Good luck with your business.

I was there too last week and the Platinum mall is so big that i got confused although i have visited that mall more then 6 times but still i cant find my suppliers shop everytime i go but its amazing i have to admit that, more then 1300 wholesale shops and i like that bag shop on second level right in front of the elevator where you get bags of famous magazines cover page printed on them, i am sure if somebody start selling them online it would be a sure profitable business. i would look forward to go there every time i am in bangkok, its just Amazing !!!

sorry i am taking the opportunity of answering to ur post and i am not nan

there are more then 1300 wholesale shops and the best thing about it is that minimum quantity of wholesale according to them is 3 units so this way one can buy variety of products and yes there are plenty of undergarment shops and if you want they can give you your brand name undergarments too provided you have good quantity to order like 1000 pcs and more
also there are shops which are selling packaging stuff for garments like small buckets in which you can fold and stuff a t shirt and you can print on the bucket your name or any slogan you want also there are more then 50 shops of gift and promotional material which i had personally visited may be there are more shops then 50 i am sure.

Also my piece of advice is that you should plan your trip for not less then a week so that you can actually see the whole mall and surrounding wholesale areas like sukhumvit road and pratunam centre where you can get great deals, also i must admit that the stuff sold there is damn cheap and the best thing is that its quality is superb. i bought so many things from there and after 2 years the stuff is same as it was bought.

In Nutshell Bangkok is Shoppers Paradise specially at this time when Pound and Dollar are on there heights.

Thanks so much for the reply indiaspeaks. I was also thinking of finding affordable packaging material for my garments so you've help me a lot with your answer. Do you have any idea on their average pricing for their undergarments and gifts?

I still can't believe there are 1300 shops?! With that many shops and low pricing I just can't wait to visit Thailand!

i guess 15 - 30 baht for a plastic bucket and nothing more then 100 baht in that shop but everything is just too amazing. And in gift shops there is a vast range of items and i guess the price start from as low as 10 baht and goes up till 250 bahts. u can use www.xe.com for currency conversions.
and you dont need to thank me next time when i need any info about singapore i will surely pm you its give and take
