VAT/Import Charges when Dropshipping?

If I dropship on item on ebay from Hong Kong, obviously my buyer will have to pay VAT/Import Duty, in most cases.

If I clearly state in the auction listing it's the buyer responsibility to pay this if applies and state the item is being shipping from Hong Kong, am I covered?

i.e. a buyer wont be able to start hassling me for a refund etc or want me to cover any charges?

Put simply they will complain, but you will also be able to defend yourself so 99/100 you will be ok. However you are always going to get one difficult customer, just make it as obvious as you can and it should be ok.
