Due to licensing and distribution limitations, Play-Asia.com is sometimes
not able to ship selected products to certain territories. At the moment
this also includes PlayStation3 and PSP related products, including
consoles, games and first party accessories to some destinations,
including some parts of Europe.

Please understand, that we have no other choice except to follow the
instructions of our distributors.

I am sorry about the inconvenience we caused.

If you have any further question, please do not hesitate to ask.

Best regards,
is this the end of cheap games? or is there another way?

any advice please

cheers

The reason Play-Asia only ship some products to selected territories has nothing to do with compatibility. Its down to the rules their given by the publishers; all publishers have different terms. For example, some will not allow export to Europe. Hence, why we source certain games outside of Asia (Call of Duty 4 is a perfect example, as this is a PAL version). However, you need to be buying at least 100pcs per title to get a viable price and on a regular basis.

Due to the scale of Play-Asia's operation, if they were to break these distribution laws it would cause them a lot of problems. They could loose their accounts with the involved publisher, if they were lucky. Or they could be closed down completely. You may of heard of a company called Lik-Sang. They were taken to court by Sony; for breaking distribution laws. They were closed down completely for breaking these terms. This was a big wake up call to many companies in Asia.

There are many smaller companies who will not think twice about breaking these terms. So be very careful.
