Unfortunately if it was that easy everyone would be doing it. No one is going to giveaway suppliers or websites.

It is impressing how people keep posting things like this over and over. When I first put my eye in this board, I was excited about the idea of becoming better as a businessman and doing well in my field, but I knew that nobody will say: "sell coats for raccoons, and you'll be rich as you can't even imagine". There may be ways to make a fortune in four days, but you'll have to come up with a cracking business on your own.

Besides, if you spend time browsing the different threads in this board, you learn quite a lot from other people, and this gives you direction to the magic world of well dressed raccoons, so... how naive one could be to join and just say: "make me rich, people!"?.

I think we could save a lot of time by changing the motto under the logo of this board, instead of "connecting through discussion" we should have "We hate ipods and magic bussiness formulas".

/Dream.

P.S: Greedyboy, I certainly know who I am, although I don't really know what you want to discuss over the phone.

Well put.

When you build a business you do just that. You start from the ground up from finding suppliers to getting your product into the marketplace.

This is not aimed at anyone in particular, but you simply can not say 'I want to sell this' can anyone tell me where to get them and make a profit. You have to to do it yourself. If you keep hitting a brick wall then maybe you are not cut out for this business?

At the end of the day, I and many other member could say 'sell these and you will make £1000 a week'. Then again if we do that, we may as well advertise them for you as well and send you the profit.

It's frustrating starting out. I have done it many times with new direction or new products. But you just dig deep and quietly get on with it.

The problem I personally have is I have 20 things on the go and another 100,000 in my head waiting to be implemented! Not a day go bs without me seeking out a new product, idea, opportunity or anything else business related.

People look to dropshipping as they do not have the capital and think it is easy money. They also look straight to ipods, consoles, phones etc. Did you know you can make the same profit on an item that costs £5 than you can on an electrical item that costs you £250?

You should really be looking at getting some cash together and buying in bulk. You do not need much, a few hundred quid can get you started.

Like the previous poster said there is no 'magic wand'. You have to have that special something inside you to spot an opportunity and be able to exploit it.

Rant over

Uhm, no, I've been pondering about it and I can say with a fair amount of confidence that I am not your mother. Thought you wanted to have a good conversation on the phone with someone who knew who he was, and that's a requisite I could grant at a certain level.

I was serious about the part of making it more evident to new fellow forumers, and refrain them to introduce themselves with a smile and their open hands imploring some magic tricks. It annoys me a little to browse this board among this vast amount of threads from people asking for the meaning of life. No offense meant, I think this is not a fault of administration, just a hole in the correct understanding of the board's principles.

I concede it may not work even if we change the name of the board to "WE'RE NOT REVEALING THE TRUTH", but since the regulars have the patience to reply to any post like this, maybe it would be worth trying.

Pity I can't have a good conversation over the phone, now...

Dream.

Dream, the problem is there are over 12,000 members here. Many are students looking to pick up some pocket money, either online or from their mates. While it would be great to have someone personally mentor each and every 14 year old who comes here, it's just not going to happen.

You honestly can't expect someone who has got a good thing going to come out in front of 12,000 people and say "Hey, I've found this great dropshipper who gives you a free site, RSS feed, 50% gross profit, hot & cold running water and ships worldwide for free. I want all of the rest of you to koin in on my new-found prosperity, so here is the URL, be sure and join up straightaway."

You'll find plenty of guidance and advice, but few sources. In fact, my experience in over 6 years of this has been beware of volunteered sources, they are usually offered by the seller themselves.

If you go to a mall, shopping center or shop in town where there is an opening and speak to the rental agent, they will talk to you about the space for rent, but they are not going to tell you what to sell or where to find it. They may tell you some items you may not sell, due to restrictions in the lease or local laws. Finding a product and presenting it to the public is up to you. Like you find here, you may be told that certain products have been tried in that location and failed. But you are still welcome to make the same mistake again.

Here you will find a lot of advice on what is not profitable to sell. And also what is tricky to buy. This is more than you will get from the rental agent.

Actually there is quite a bit of truth delivered here. What is seldom delivered is sources on a silver platter.
