Default Dropshipping Blunders

Hi all,

What if someone auctioned a product on a site like eBay but the dropshipper failed to deliver or the package arrived at the buyer's house damaged or incorrect?

EBay would hold the seller accountable for it. If the buyer opened a dispute then things would get messy. How would the buyer be covered with PayPal if they didn't actually own the product in the first place?

Does anyone know of any dropshipping blunders?

Of course they are going to happen. And you are just going to have to paly the odds and suck up and eat it every once in awhile. You should be able to get a refund from your supplier, but there are some who just went out of business with your money. Sorry about that.

As far as damaged shipping, they will generally ship a replacement. There was a thread on this just yesterday. Some will just take your word for it, others will want the damaged item back, it depends on your supplier, your relationship with them, whether they have an arrangement with the courier, etc.

So, no hard and fast answers. BUT you will be the one responsible and if all else fails, you will make a refund.

agreed.... you have the contract with the buyer.... you refund.... what you do about it after is your choice... and yes you get the neg feedback if it comes.... but maybe thats the price you have to pay for not having any stock of your own to sell
