Has anyone had experience with these dropshippers? They are charging a sign up fee, reading some of the comments on here when companies want a sign up fee in tend to be a scam is this correct?

No, that's not correct. I paid either $ 300 or $ 400 to join one company that I have done about $ 100,000 in business with. It's been explained here a number of times, many legitimate sources have a setup fee to keep the tire kickers and Christmas present buyers away.

Some, like the one I mention, will even refund the fee after you purchase a specified amount. I didn't get that deep into this site, so I can't comment there.

Your main consideration should be whether they are true inventory owning dropshippers, or simply a "middleman" pretending to be a dropshipper and having the real inventory holder do the shipping, with them skimming off your profits.

The best way to check this out is a personal visit, either by yourself, if it is feasible, or a friend or relative if you know someone in the area.

Of course, another member here throwing out a good word would work, as well.

I'm still not that convinced by them their intial website prices seem high and if they are only takin 3-4% of their on screen profits it does leave much profit margin?

We are pretty well known on another forum (i wont link to it but think about dropshipforum) and there are alot of members who have posted in various locations around the internet. Do a little research on us if you like, I'm positive you will find we get alot of good feedback unlike a few other certain dropshippers similar to us.

Profit margins on technology products ARE tight, we actually make a loss on the Xbox's and Nintendo DS consoles. This is one reason why we are moving away from this market and going into gifts, gadgets, homeware and toys. We price our products just above cost price, I guarantee you stand to make more money on each product than we do. I must stress though that the public prices you are seeing on our website now are our own retail prices and not the RRP as we find RRP's generally very misleading and unrealistic. If we charged true RRP's on the public site, the dropship margins would appear much bigger.

I have absolutely no problem with giving you a full pricelist upfront before you join, just email me and I will send it over. Also may I remind Span not to post trade pricing on a public forum as it may violate our terms and conditions.
