Smile Help required getting into Drop shipping

Hi

Can anyone help a drop shipping virgin?

I'd like to try drop shipping but have no idea where to start.

Surely it can't be as easy as buying a list and using my Ebay account?

So I would be grateful if anyone out there can give me some reputable companies and some basic info

Thanx

Do a search there is loads on here that offer dropshipping and it works like this,

You list an item for sale and when you get paid order from a dropshipper and they will post the item straight to your customer.

I always recommend finding a product you wish to sell and then looking for a dropshipper, just because someone doesn't advertise dropshipping services doesn't mean they dont do it. ALWAYS approach them, they can only say yes or no....

Right! Your best bet is to find something local, particularly something produced locally and make arrangements with the source to ship for you. You get the orders and they do the shipping.

Other than that, there are several ways to go. One is to convince a wholesaler, inporter or small manufacturer to drop ship for you, even if they do not do it now. Keep in mind, it's a big change from "cases only" to packing and shipping "eaches". Many just won't do it.

I represent a membership website that is a huge "list of lists" so to speak, with literally thousands of dropshippers and wholesalers. Over 400 members of this forum have joined that site, you may find it worthwhile, also. Just click the top link in my signature.

There are a couple of other resources for guaranteed "tier one" dropshippers. Tier One means they will:

a - ship one item at a time

b - ship it under your name, both labels and accompanying paperwork

c - not compete with you. They will never, ever contact your customer on their own

d - not have an extra charge for dropshipping (they may have a "small order fee", which many wholesalers have due to the cost to pack and ship low value orders.)

Here is a site where you can get a great assortment of Genuine, Cuaranteed Tier One Dropshippers -

Guaranteed Dropship Source Directory

And here is a site with great resources on both dropshippers and wholesalers worldwide. The also will refund your money if you are not satisfied with their product. I do urge caution with them, as they are very popular and have been around forever and there are many members using the same sources. But they keep growing and adding more.

Guaranteed Wholesale/Dropship Source Directory

I've done very well, myself, by dropshipping. I have been doing it for decades, even before the internet. It is a good way to make a living and maintain some sanity.

If you do a search for "esource" on this forum they have been discussed before.

You can then make your own mind up whether they are any good.
