Default Advice on dropshipping office supplies?

Hi all

New to the forum, been reading them and there is lots of great advice to be found.

Now I am looking to set up a a drop shipping website of office supplies. I know of a company that offer this service and they have an extensive catalogue of products. My idea is to put thier catalouge on my website listing thier whole product range. Phsically getting the catalogue online is no problem to me on the technical side of things. The problem I have is how to go about aprroaching the company and convincing them that I have what it takes and also that they could do healthy business through me. Would it be good to show them a template of what the site could look like and show them the market research I have done? Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Do the office supplies company allready offer dropshipping ??? As if they dont i think you might struggle to get them to do it ?? I dont think they would be to intrested in your website design and would concetrate more on a business plan with estimates on how much of there goods you plan to sell

But really if you are planning to dropship i would really consider buying your own stock and holding it yourself to dropship.

As above. Unless the company is a wholesaler and is either willing or already established as a dropshipper, you will struggle to get them to play ball. Reason being, they would only be increasing their competition by letting you sell their products for presumably the same price or slightly cheaper.

Office supplies is a tough market to succeed in unless you can buy in volume.

The company already offer this service, they send the company I am working for now catalogues with your own company name on to distribute as and when with their products in, when the orders come in all we do is phone them through, we made 100% on out last order. The company I am working for now don't really advertise it or I think they could make a lot of money from it, that's where I got the idea from to set up the website.

I'd contact the supplier and ask how I go about opening a trade account, then go from there and discuss the different services they offer i.e. wholesale/dropship

Ok, I will do that, thanks. I don't really have a great deal of capital do actually buy the physical supplies so drop shipping is really my only option.
