From FAQ's I take from this that manufacturors warranties do not apply to your goods.

Hong Kong is the shopping capital of Asia so any branded goods can be easily purchased there from 1000's of shops and wholesalers.

Also ensure that when you purchase from them that the warranty is international and not just Hong Kong warranty. When I was there I wanted to buy a camera but the warranty was restricted to HK only.
