Dropship mistake?
I ordered an mp4 player on Saturday for dropshipping, put the delivery address in the notes section which I was told is fine by the dropshipper and have done it like this before.
Obviously the item couldnt be dipatched until yesterday so should have arrived today.... it did, at MY address rather than my customers!
Whats the best way to resolve the issue?
I was thinking I should resend the item via RM 1st class recorded and chase the dropshipper for reimbursement later.
Should I call the customer to let them know or risk they see the postal date and face the consequences?

Re: Dropship mistake?
You still need to send the item out in my opinion.
Possibly contact them to say there was a bit of an issue?
How much will postage be for you? This might eat into your profits...

Re: Dropship mistake?
I agree. Still send the item out yourself. Then contact your dropshipper for some kind of apology at least. Im sure your customer would prefer getting the item a couple days late rather than not at all.

Should I call the customer and let them know?
It will be around £2.50 including the Recorded.

Re: Dropship mistake?
Well if you send it now, it may get there by tomorrow. But its a big MAY.
I'd still contact them and give them the best explanation possible (do you want them knowing you dropship?)

Re: Dropship mistake?
If you send it now 1st class recorded your customer has a good chance of receiving it tomorrow. I would not contact the buyer as ordering saturday and receiving wednesday is a very good delivery time.
These mistakes happen every now and again when you are busy and i am sure your dropshipper will apologize and offer you your postage costs.
But personally i would not worry get it sent and speak to your dropshipper

Re: Dropship mistake?
I'd send the customer a little email stating that the item is on its way and not to worry.
Then contact your dropshipper and ask him to refund the postage costs.

Re: Dropship mistake?
Get it out right away and move on. Don't contact your buyer, a few days is not a big deal unless you flat told them otherwise. Just mail it as if it came from you from the start and let the matter rest.
Let the dropshipper know, for sure. If they are any good they will offer the postage refund before you ask.

Re: Dropship mistake?
Have resent the item and will sort out with the dropshipper later.
Just a communication error I'm sure, thanks for all the advice.
