Is Dropshipping Profitable
The margins just seem too low for th time you would need to put into it.
Also, with you not actually possesing the product, does it lead to many customer problems with shipping time etc etc?

I have found with dropshipping that problems can just emerge right out from nowhere.
There are MANY other threads on here...have a look around.

Obviously profits are not going to be as high as buying in wholesale but profit can still be made. Don't forget, eBay isn't the only place to sell.
Buy one of the products, show it to mates to get them interested and then when they say they wants one, order them one! Or give them the one you have and order yourself another one to use to show people. This will cut down on delivery times too!
There are a few UK dropshippers on these forums that offer very fast delivery times so if you go with them you should have no problems. Obviously, if ordering from the US or China then delivery will be longer (usually 7-14 days) but as long as you explain this you should have no problems.

Re: Is Dropshipping Profitable
It does not matter where or how you sell, if you are in business, problems can come from nowhere. There was a recent thread on goods being stolen, there are threads almost daily about deals gone bad, either buying or selling or both. Dropshipping is the same. There are no guarantees with any of the methods.
Two things often overlooked when discussing dropshipping with holding stock are -
Shelf loss, either the goods that you buy and never sell, or end up selling at a loss to get rid of your bad buy and/or goods that get "shopworn" waiting for sale. This can be significant in some cases.
And Return on Investment. This is how businesses are often rated and having a lot of money in inventory that does not turn over rapidly may seem to give you a good profit per item, but in the long run you would be better off with your money in a savings account.
Not to mention trips to the post office, pulling packing, etc. Also storage space, which may require paying rent (or listening to the missus bitching) and other less than glorious areas of holding stock.
I have made quite a bit of money over quite a few years selling dropshipped goods - before becoming a dropshipper myself.

Re: Is Dropshipping Profitable
As a dropshipper following in the footsteps so to speak, I could never have imagined the amount of people who put their faith in me every day to deliver their goods. It warms the cockles and keeps the bank manager off my back. The point is, there are hundreds of people every day making money out of myself, Pete et alia.
Sometimes it takes a while to find the right product, market, price point but you will learn. it's not all about being the cheapest price on ebay.
Dip your toe and find out how warm the water really is.......

Re: Is Dropshipping Profitable
It would defeat the object if they did have a moq (of more than one)

Re: Is Dropshipping Profitable
The main reason people think there is no money in dropshipping is because there caught in this tunnel of ebay and dont look at the big picture.
Ebay is too easy to compare prices etc.. We have all done it, But theres hundreds of different avenues out there, Its just some people either have ideas or not.
The ones that dont have ideas are the ones that fail at it.
