Getting right p****d off now with DX!!
Started dropshipping from DX a few months ago and everything was absolutely perfect to start with, all items packed and shipped to the correct destination within 5 days no problems, most within 2.
But these last few weeks have just been an absolute nightmare.
I have 29 products dating back to the 17th July still in "packaging" status. For all of you who don't know this goes from, order received, order in stock, packaging, then shipped.
So how can they have items in stock from the 17th July that have been packaged but not shipped? Every one of my orders up till yesterday are showing as packaging.
How long does it take to put an item in a Jiffy bag? 11 days for them idiots it seems!!!
I did have some problems with stock previous to that but I complained and they replied saying all shipments have been updated and shipped. Now I just hope that these items were shipped and not just the status changed as these were the batch immediately prior to the 17th.
Another thing, I have over 20 paypal payments all needing to be ordered via DX, I have tried to order but their express Paypal checkout is playing up, which is a nightmare as ordering all of these products using normal checkout will take me donkeys!! Now I am wondering do I order when it gets fixed or do I refund my customers and cut my losses as DX are now being a bunch of pricks.
I also have another 7 auctions ending this evening with bids on that will also be from DX, and God knows how many more will be bid on in the meantime.
This little gem of a find was fantastic at first, but now it is proving to be a right pain as I can't even respond to my customers that the items have been shipped and will take X amount of days via Hong Kong Air Mail as they clearly have not been shipped and I have no idea when they will.
I have ticketed DX again today and if I get no joy tomorrow I may have to cancel everything costing me hundreds of pounds but it may be for the best.
Is anyone else using DX at the moment? Are you able to order using PayPal express? And also how have your orders been this last 21 days or so?
Cheers.
Oh by the way, how the heck do I sign up to DX forums? It lets me read and post but when I post anything it never shows up. I don't even have a user name, all I have is my normal DX account and email. Other people have usernames, so how do I sign up with a username to their forums? There is not a single thing showing how to register as a forum member on their site.

I have used dealextreme myself and they are a good site but I would never use them to dropship from myself.
Most the stuff they offer is cheap so why not actually buy some (you get discounts for bulk sales) and then you will actually have the stock ready to send which will only make your customers more happy. Even just buying 1 of every item you sell could work out to be better than dropshipping.

Re: Getting right pissed off now with DX!!
No idea, I doubt it. Although WSDeal are who are a wholsesale section of Focal Price (similar rival company) who are much much better but do not stock the items I need. I do use Focal Price but they are just stocking up on new items at the moment, I only use them for maybe 3/4 items out of the dozens I sell.
I hope over the next year or so that Focal Price become as bis as DX but holding the same great customer service, their dropshipping is fantastic. About 8-10 days from order to your customers door almost anywhere in the world. All shipped from Hong Kong.

That is how I started out with DX mate, but profits were very low, especially now that eBay have stopped you adding P&P on some of the sections I list in. It works out half as much for me to get DX to ship direct to the customer, so 50% extra on every item I dropship was worth the risk. Especially as it was going so well at first. I did start off small to test the market and see how they were, but once it was fine I rapidly built up my inventory.
As I say everything was fine, it has just been since the second third of this month that they seem to have gone tits up.
I will have a go soon to see if I can place the rest of my orders using their PayPal express. Hope fully I will get a reply from them soon explaining what is going on.
Just to note I have used this company over the last few years for personal items, maybe 5/6 times so they have been going for a while and always seemed fine even though a little slow in shipping.
