Looking at their ad (H700 sold on ebay for $57? when there are a lot of seller who sell for 14-36 buy now for H700)

PS3 60gb for 400? When the new slime PS3 120 only 300 on slickdeal sometime and other electronic website.

Hi topdisplayusa,

Thanks for the feedback. May I ask which ad you are referring to? SaleHoo is actually a member of eBay Developer's Program. Basically, SaleHoo's focus is providing a directory of verified suppliers to online/offline sellers and since eBay is the leading online auction site which most of their members use, they also provide training resources on eBay selling.

It is an honest business. They are rated A by BBB and they offer free resources for non-members and 100% 56-day money back guarantee to ensure customer satisfaction.

P.S. I don't believe there's an easy way of making money online specially if you're looking at selling on eBay where wholesalers sell direct to the public. It might be easy if you are just getting rid of stuff around the house and not really trying to establish a business that you want to hopefully support your family in the long run. Even PTC is not easy

Cheers,
Haydee

It sounds like they target ads for hot items people want to sell. The margins in those product areas are poor. Nintendo, Sony etc. sell their consoles to retailers with very little profit margin. The company I used to work for (a major online entertainment store) had to 0% their affiliate commission on PS3 sales because the commission paid to affiliates was greater than the profit margin available! Yep you just read that right - we were paying our affiliates more than the profit margin available thereby selling brand new PS3s at a loss. At £400 a sale you can imagine it added up to quite a bit when someone wondered why after several hundred sales we'd not made much profut and figured out our all of our profit marign and then some was being paid to affiliates! Bottom line is these directories can *possibly* be useful in non-mainstream brand products - it all comes down to what you're looking for. If you're looking for cheap games, consoles, DVDs etc. you are wasting your time (IMO). If you can deal with the hassles grey imports bring then your margins are better but this will cause you problems in the long run if you are any more than an small indie retailer. If you're looking outside of these areas you may find it useful.

A lot of people are under the impression that electronics is a highly profitable market but this is simply not true. It's actually one of the most competitive markets online. Yes, the demand is high for these products but the supply is also high. They are selling it at wholesale or even below wholesale on eBay. So yes, I agree with rayloveday, this industry has always run on very low margins and marketplaces like eBay have only tightened the margins even further. You will find that you are better off selling accessories instead. If you wish to stick to this market, your best bet would be to purchase in very huge quantities (and I mean, thousands) or buy liquidated goods.
