But you could get 1000 people say they are intrested but you might only get 10 sign up.

If you are serious about dropshipping then just do it you cant rely on other peoples opinions as that is all they are and everyones is diffrent.

If you are allready a sucsessful retailer (which i take it you are as there is no way dropshipping video games will earn you a living) then dropshipping will not really be that exspensive to set up.

I do think we need a decent game dropshipper, as has already been said its fairly obvious prices are only going to be a few quid less than you can actually sell for, and not all products will be profitable, but if you can turn over the volume then there will be money to be made based upon the price list given here - I for one will be interested should this take off!

It is not the prices in question though it is how viable it is. if you look around the forum you will find

Me (pcdropship) Holds stock
Entertainment corner Holds stock
Hardware heroes Holds stock
Pete Holds stock
Premier Mobile Holds stock
Gadget Giants Holds stock

And others who i have failed to mention. But there is a pattern and it is all to do with stock.

Now all the ones that have failed (and if the people running them were honest) They had little if any stock. This causes problems as the suppliers will have min orders and if you fail to meet the min order either items get delayed or you get charges for not meting the min order (normally an administration charge).

So instead of making money you start loosing it fast and it dont work out. It is not peticular to this one thread but to all threads that read "who's intrested" or anyone considering dropshipping.

Things that most people do not take into consideration is.

Paypal/google checkout/credit card They will take a min of 3 days and upto 7 days to give you the cash can you cover this ????

Postage you need to pay this before you will receive it so more cash out of the pocket.

Payment fees from 1% upto 3.4% + if you are accepting card payments through a terminal you will have a minimum charge (normally around £20).

Packaging all them jiffy bags dont come cheap.

Time You dont want to be working for nothing.

Paper and ink/toner for printing.

Electrictity/Phone/Broadband.

Lost damaged items Who's paying ???

The list is endless and to many people think dropshipping is an easy way to shift stock and make cash and it is not. It is hard work for little money.

To the op i wish you the best of luck and hope if you do go ahead it is very sucsessful

Stock isn't such a big issue - the stock is available, and so are the funds to purchase it. The reason why I've created this thread is because thousands of pounds are going to go into obtaining the stock before setting this up, and I'd just like to know whether there will be any interest in this market.

This is also why I said not everything on that list is going to up for sale - only the poplular items.

And similar to other dropshippers, we intend to profit from subscription fees over increases on price. Which is pretty much £2 off each item on that list.

Correct

I'm obviously a bit green as I honestly didn't realise there were people that considered themselves to be dropshippers without holding stock, it's bad enough running your own business on a JIT basis but having other business owners relying on you under the same terms is commercial suicide IMO.
