Default The select - avoid this dropshipper !!!

Okay I just wish to make a post about a dropshipping service I have joined recently in Oct 2009, the name is "The Select".

And I can honestly say this is a total scam.

There website advertised 4 agent packages, bronze, silver, gold & platinum.

And they also advertise a retailer package and an ultimate package.

I Choose the Gold Agent Package, at a cost of £299.99, but as I joined when

They had a promotion on, so qualified for a free upgrade to the next package, which

was the platinum package.

The website boasts margains of 50%-80%, so up to 50% margins for bronze, up to 70% margins for silver, 80% margins for gold and sub zero prices for platinum.

So apparantly I should have sub zero prices avalible to me.

When I Received my account details, I logged into the members area, and decided I would check there stock and prices, and compare these to the same products on ebay, just to see what I could make.

However after a couple of hours, I realised there was absolutley no profit in there stock. I will give you an example of a product in the members area

N95 8 GB MOBILE PHONE
Select reccomend I Sell for £452.06,
I can Buy from select for £335.84,
Select projected Profit £116.22

EBAY PRICE FOR THIS ITEM IS - £208.00

And I could give you many many other examples to. Just ask.

I complained after a few hours of being a member, and politley asked for a refund. This was of course rejected.

I did find the odd product you could potentially make a £3 or £4 profit on, but ebay fees would wipe out any profit.

So all in all its just a big con. I have asked them to show me somthing from there website that has a sub zero prices, or a product that has a 80% margin, or even something with a 50% margin. As I do not beleive any product they have will give you a 50% margin.

So I have contacted consumer direct, who have instructed me to write to them and demand a full refund. I have done this, and have basically told them they have missrepresented there service, and that they have 14 days to reply.

if they do not get back to me, or deny me a refund, consumer direct will be passing my case over to trading standards.

I would appreciate anyone who has been ripped off by this company to contact me, and maybe we can all make a joint complaint against this company. Maybe let me know your experiences

In their Terms and Conditions, it states:

Quote:
3. All subscription packages are non-refundable. If you wish to cancel your subscription you must do so within 3 months of your annual renewal by written request to the address provided.
Like consumer direct have said, give them a written request and they'll cancel your package.

It's a bit unfair for them not to refund subscriptions.

The reason they don't refund is because people realise theres no profit to be made!

well lucky enough my platinum agent package fee was a one off payment, and not part of any subscription. This was paid on my credit card.

I am going to inform my credit card service this company are scammers, and have totally missrepresented there service, and that this matter is with trading standards, Hopefully they can do a chargeback.

will keep you posted

Yes we are tommorrow going to call our credit card company, and inform them this is a scam. We will also give them our trading standards case number just to add a bit of weight. Not that it should matter, the select are out and out cheats, how they get away with this i just do not know. However they have picked on the wrong person when they cheated me.

Will keep you updated and let you know how i go on.

regards

paul

yes thats right, they know themselves that you can not make money with there products on ebay or any other sales platform.

The con is to hook you in with claims of up to 80% margains and sub zero prices.

They will not cheat me though, trading standards are dealing with my case, and tommorrow i will tell my card company that i have been scammed.

will keep you posted

Cool, keep us posted In future reference, before buying a membership wth any site, its best to create a topic under supplier or dropship discussion as someone at a earlier stage may have been the agro you been through
