Yes, YOU collect the money from the buyer. This money will be in your PayPal account or whatever you have set up.
Then YOU place the order with me, paying the price on my website.
The difference of what you sold it for and what you paid me is your Gross Profit. But, you have some other costs involved. If you sell on an auction, you will have to pay their fees and you will also have to pay the fees for PayPal or whoever collects your money.
So, it's not a simple buy for 30, sell for 45, keep 15. I don't know the fees exactly, but it will be more like buy for 30, sell for 45, keep 10. The other goes to eBay, PayPal, whoever.
Also, if you start off selling quite a lot it will not be long before eBay or PayPal will put a hold on your funds with them - until you actually have some items delivered and some good feedback. It is nothing personal, but they want to make sure Corey is going to be honest and deliver.
So, they are going to hold your money, but there will be more orders coming in. And you have got to fill those orders, in order to assure them you are honest. Sort of a Catch 22, but that is how it works.
What I'm getting at is it's not a simple as some make it out to be. Obviously, thousands do it. It is certainly not impossible, but you should know it's not all "put up an add or auction and rake in the cash".
