Supplying dropshippers - Do you feel they always choose the right products?
I have a number of business interests, and have been suppying dropshippers from one of them for a little while now. I've had a look over the sales, and what sells, and I know what our best selling items are etc.
The question I have, is to the people here who supply dropshippers as well, do you think, that even if you try and persuade your dropshippers to try a certain line, one that you know sells and gives them the best returns, they rarely do?
The reason I ask this, is that the products I sell, are niche products. There are lines that are very popular, and the returns achieved on these from eBay, Amazon etc are slim, compared to what could be made.
I have one line of products, that only 2 of my dropshippers advertise. They give me 30+ orders each, per day. They make more money from me, than the people who only stick to the popular lines. I do look at who is selling the products and for what, as the products are that niche doing an eBay search normally only brings up mine and one or two others. Plus I ask for company names and websites on sign up.
I look at things in the way that if i can sell 1 a day and make £10, or sell 20 a day and make £2 per sale, I will stick to the 20 a day.
I'm only posting this here, as its made me curious. Does anyone else find this happens in their business?
Thanks
