Dropshipping has rapidly become one of the easiest ways to sell products on the internet without the need for capital, there are literally thousands of sites out there that pertain to be dropshippers and it can be a minefield for those looking to get into dropshipping in order to make some money. I have been using dropshipping for a number of years now and thought that I would document a few of my thoughts and questions that come to mind when I consider a new dropshipper arrangement.

Some questions you may wish to ask : Please read Dropshipping Article

Nice post but unsure about number 7. Which dropshippers don't allow 24/7 ordering? Most allow orders to be placed on their website or by email.

You are making the assumption that all dropshippers are net based and have email usage, some do not and rely on that out dated thing "the phone", this has some relevance when in those terms.

Email acceptance isn't 24/7 either, sure you can submit but if they do not start processing until they arrive at 9am (for example) and all orders are queued then this can add time to the order turnaround. However, most mainstream dropshippers do offer 24/7 so I may reword it..

I've used the "middleman" drop shipper. Their product prices are way to high to compete with anything on eBay. Thanks for clearing things up for everyone.

how does one tell the difference between a middleman and the actual dropshipper, so what are some tactics and questions i should use or ask to verify if i'm dealing with the actual dropshipper

the reason i ask this question is because nowadays its getting easier for scammers to scam you, its easy to send customers pictures of merchandise they do not own, its easy to generate fake testimonials/business references, its easy to generate fake policies or loopholes within the policies, its easy to just flat out lie and say you warehouse this and that and your product lead time/turn around time is this and that, and last and very important its easy for scammers to lie about their product prices to get/entice newbies into the trap to get their money

i myself have nothing against the middleman, i myself have been looking into/researching the merchandise brokering business (which a broker is a middleman between the supplier and buyer), but i do think its scammful/wrong for a middleman to try to pass his/her self off as the actual supplier
