Well 2007 is now fully upon us and I was wondering if people have decided to change their Ebay strategies......
are you looking to new products?
have you supplemented your ebay site with a website of your own?
are you running an ebay store?
decided to increase your promo activities?
etc etc...
From my perspective I only use Ebay as an advertising medium and I have recently been impressed with the volumes that are landing and converting on my sites so I am increasing my Ebay sales (all pretty much
LOSS LEADER products). I stepped up from 50 auctions a week to close to 300 in order to correlate what effect this was actually going to have, and this is what I found....
Every single one of my websites I have used has had a minimum of 200% increase in traffic!!
I am running 300 auctions every 7 days and targeting 30 of my websites, the lowest increase has been a 208% traffic increase (
www.gollycollectors.com) - site has very little content also and is being used to see the aff result from traffic jumps etc. My biggest has been a whopping 1125% increase (
www.musthavemobilephones.co.uk). Associated revenue etc has also seen a substantial increase of circa 300% (combined income).
A few more experiments to come but the general idea is that using Ebay simply to sell goods is missing the point!!
